Description
76664 Vintage Chinese Aubusson Rug, 09'02 x 12'00.
Drawing inspiration from Mario Buatta and Chintz style, this hand-knotted wool vintage Aubusson style garden Chinese area rug features the full blossoms of flower garlands similar to those found in the French originals but in a Chinese style. Symbols of abundance and earthly beauty, the flower blossoms are bunched together to form a center ogival medallion and separate ogival garland surrounding it which is accented by blue ribbons. Flowers of a similar scale extend from French vases at the corner spandrels and into the field. A matching floral border frames the rug. Suitable for a variety of traditional or Asian design schemas, this vintage Aubusson style rug adds a classic European flair and feminine charm to nearly any space.
