Description
52657 Antique Indian Agra Rug, 10'02 x 13'07.
Art Deco meets traditional elegance in this hand knotted wool antique Indian Agra rug. The rectilinear geometry and warm earth-tone colors woven into this piece work together resulting in a refined and sophisticated look. Taking center stage is a cusped lozenge medallion patterned with botanical motifs and anchored with palmette pendants at either end in the coveted open field. Complementary spandrels echo the medallion design. A leafy rosette border enclosed with triple meandering floral guard bands frames the composition. With its bold geometric pattern and intricate line art, this antique Agra rug is capable of a variety of successful design applications and would be particularly at home in an Art Deco inspired interior.
