The nature-inspired design and decorative use of color woven into this piece will take on a relaxed yet elevated look with a well-traveled vibe.The abrashed brown backdrop depicts a flowing river covered in a blanket of flowers. These tranquil landscapes reflect the Japanese belief that harmony with nature leads to spiritual satisfaction. Drawing inspiration from Katsushika Hokusai, this pictorial scene possibly portrays the flowering cherry trees along the Yoshino River on the island of Shikoku in Japan. The asymmetry, strong diagonal lines and simplied planar forms solidify its Japonisme style and Biophilic Design.
