Description
21235 Vintage Red Moroccan Rug, 06'00 x 09'10.
Maximalist style meets cozy nomad in this hand knotted wool vintage Beni MGuild Moroccan rug. The inconspicuous design and luminous red hues woven into this piece work together creating a relaxed yet elevated feel. A barely-there diamond pattern covers the abrashed red feld and it seems to evanesce before one's eyes. Equally concealed is a geometric border composed of ambiguous motifs and tribal symbols that represent the male's presence. In Berber carpets, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs. This presentation can be seen as symbolizing protection and the sanctuary of the family.
As time goes by and this Moroccan rug is subjected to foot traffic, the true beauty will be exposed as the tribal symbols will gradually appear. Imbued with red hues, the rich waves of abrash of painterly-like brush strokes and softly gradated striations run selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next. The amalgamation of colors harmonize one another, creating the perfect design and emanating function and versatility while staying true to the authentic spirit of Berber Tribe culture.
Perfect for organic tactile sensations to a living room, bedroom, great room, family room, front room, guestroom, home office or library, study, studio, loft, large den, mudroom, music room, reading nook, children's area, nursery, playroom, man cave, game room, billiards room, and even a hotel lobby or lounge space. Iconic in styling, this versatile Berber Tribe carpet is well-suited with a variety of styles: Maximalism, Tribal, Bohemian, Boho Chic, Nomadic, Ethnic, Folk Art Style, Modern Mexican, Pacific Northwest, Southwestern, Santa Fe Modern Desert, Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Modern, Eclectic, Black Forest, Lodge, Cabin, Industrial, Artisan, Urban, and Loft. It would also complement mountain living for luxury ski chalets, secluded hunting lodges and rustic ranches found in Montana, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Wyoming, or the Adirondacks.
