The eye-catching diamond trellis and vibrant colors woven into this vintage Moroccan rug work together creating a truly unique look. The abrashed red field features an all-over lozenge lattice composed of chevron lines and diamonds decorated with Burdock motifs, fused triangles, X-shapes, and V-shapes adding visual interest and depth. Historical richness and full of Ancient Berber symbolism, this vintage Beni M'Guild rug features traditional symbols of protection and femininity in the central area while the borders along the vertical sides traditionally represent the male's presence. In Moroccan rugs, male motifs often appear on the outer portions of the composition, framing and enclosing the female motifs.
