This hand-knotted wool vintage Moroccan Ait Bou Ichaouen Talsint rug beautifully showcases an asymmetrical diamond lattice. The subtlety of a cream colored background allows the stark colored lines to stand out creating a lozenge trellis pattern. Small flecks of color are encapsulated into random compartments. The ancient Berber Tribe symbolism combined with the primitive charm in this tribal rug conjure the spirit of Morocco. In Ancient Berber rug-making, the diamond shape is known to represent the prediction of a pregnancy and invoke the power of femininity and reproduction. The two vertical ends of the rug are decorated with uneven fringe.
