Description
20866 Vintage Neutral Moroccan Rug, 02'08 x 09'06.
This hand knotted wool vintage Berber Moroccan accent rug features an all-over pattern of Elibelinde motifs. Derived from the virility of the Ram's Horn motif, the classic Elibelinde motif, also known as the “hands on hips” or goddess motif, is thought to represent motherhood and fertility while ram’s horns represent masculinity and power. The fertility bereket motifs that appear combine the symbols of both man and woman, often referred to as ram’s Horn and hands-on-hips motifs, into one design with a diamond in the centre. Though deceptively simple, this tribal pattern is steeped in Moroccan tradition.
Well-suited for a wide range of interior styles: Nomadic, Boho Chic, Bauhaus, Hygge, Organic Modern, Danish Modern, Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Swedish Modern, Contemporary, Industrial, Rustic, Lodge, Contemporary Scandinavian, Ethnic, Primitive, African, Tribal and Bohemian. Perfect for adding organic tactile sensations to a living room, family room, game room, play room, bedroom, study, studio, office, sitting room, children's area, nursery, man cave, theater room, bathroom, stair landing, hallway, entry, foyer and entryway.
