The centre medallion rests among an all-over floral pattern composed of flowers, blossoms, leaves, vines and palmettes. The elaborate spandrels are composed of delicate floral detail that echo the medallion while directing the viewer back toward the centre. It is enclosed in a variation of palmette vine border flanked with a series of inner and outer guard bands. From the intricately detailed border of intertwining botanical decorations to the grand-scale curvilinear pattern, the warm colors intimately blend with one another, enhancing the intimate patina in a more satisfying manner.
