Description
78657 Antique-Worn Persian Heriz Rug, 11'06 x 15'11.
Rustic finesse meets patriotic flair in this hand knotted wool antique-worn Persian Heriz rug. The beguiling botanical design and traditional color palette woven into this piece work together creating a relaxed yet elevated feel such as American traditional or even Nautical chic. The lovingly time-worn abrashed red field features a prominent octofoil medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants at either end. An allover pattern composed of angular palmettes, stylized florals, serrated leaves, rectilinear vinery and ambiguous tribal motifs cover further ornament the composition. The corner spandrels are formed of a nearly homogenous nature from within the field. It is framed with a traditional border enclosed with carnation meander guard bands. Classic iterations of red, ivory, and navy blue make this antique Persian rug a beautiful expression of American, British, or French patriotism.
