The geometric design and earthy colorway woven into this piece work together creating a truly classic look. Taking center stage is a stepped cruciform medallion anchored with palmette pendants at either end. An array of angular botanical motifs and ambiguous shapes cover the abrashed wine colored field. Additional rectilinear botanical motifs radiate from the ivory corner spandrels. A colorful eight-point star border flanked with an inner and outer meandering ribbon guard border create a modern enclosure for this vintage Persian rug.
