This hand knotted wool antique Persian Malayer runner features three amulet medallions filled with a Herati pattern and outlined with stepped edges flanked with a rosette and Ram's horn pendants on each side. The three hexagonal stepped medallions float on a light tan backdrop. Dark ink blue spandrels and ziggurat mounds along the inside border echo the medallion amulets with an all-over Herati pattern. It is enclosed with an angular meander border flanked with inner crows feet guard band and outer boteh carnation meander guard band and subsidiary stripes composed of repeating cruciform motifs.
