Description
76653 Antique Persian Kurdish Bidjar Runner with Rustic Luxe Art Deco Style, Extra-Long Hallway Runner 03'09 x 17'01. Dignified with bespoke style, this hand-knotted wool antique Persian Kurdish Bijar runner features large-scale navy blue cartouches, each with a hexagonal medallion filled with and surrounded by an all-over geometric Herati pattern. The classic Herati motif consists of a flower centered in a diamond accompanied by curving lanceolate leaves that resemble fish. The Herati motif is widely used in Iran and believed to represent the small fishes come up just beneath the surface of the water to swim in the full moon's reflection. Idyllic waves of abrash dash horizontally across the Herati patterned field, enhancing the depth that connects home interiors with the elements of nature. It is enclosed with a sandy-beige angular border flanked with inner and outer carnation meander guard bands. Rendered in variegated shades of sienna, burnt umber, rust, coffee, ink blue, navy blue, cerulean, royal blue, glaucous, sand, and beige with other accent colors. Enhanced by its geometric design, warm colors and linear forms, this antique Persian runner features an alluring patina making nearly any interior feel both warm and cozy. Perfect for a hallway, corridor, kitchen, long foyer, entryway, stair landing, home office, private library, nook, parlor, small sitting area, vestibule, or it would make a lovely accent in a living room, bedroom, dining room, front room, great room, state room, family room, studio, study, loft, and lounge.
