This antique Kerman rug displays a pictorial scene of Nader Shah Afshahr (ruled 1736-1747). He was the 18th century founder of the Afsharid dynasty. Nader Shah Afshahr was one of the most powerful Iranian rulers in the history because of his military genius and battles.
