Description
76246 Vintage Persian Heriz Rug, 07'07 X 09'11.
Emanating refined elegance with incredible detail and texture, this hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Heriz rug appears like a sumptuous Italian velvet, recalling the rich and luxurious design furnishings of a bygone era such as the reign of King James I in Jacobean England. Radiating from the center is a hooked inset octagon medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants at either end. An array of stylized florals, serrated leaves, rosettes, pinwheels, and angular vines cover the abrashed red field. Ambiguous motifs of small birds, which represent faith and fertility, are nestled within the design, adding an extra touch a charm. It is enclosed with a classic border composed of stylized palmettes and flanked with an inner and outer geometric guard border.
Iconic in its styling, this vintage Persian rug would be the perfect complement to palatial interiors with a similar richness to english manors, luxury ski chalets, log cabin estate homes, premier hunting lodges, recreational ranch and mountainside abodes found in Montana, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Wyoming, or the Adirondacks.
