The stylish levels of complexity and lively earth-tone colors woven into this piece create a classic yet modern look. Taking center stage is an octofoil medallion decorated with an eight-pointed star and anchored with palmette pendants at either end. A strikingly intricate arrangement of blooming palmettes, serrated leaves, buds and blooms radiate outward from the medallion filling the red field and ivory spandrels. It is framed with an equally elaborate serrated leaf border and meadering guard borders.
