Description
784867 Impi Sotavalta Finnish Flatweave Rug, 07'0 x 09'10.
Bauhaus simplicity meets stylized Art Deco in this handwoven Finnish flatweave rug. The eye-catching geometric design and earthy colorway woven into this piece work together creating a truly one-of-a-kind look. Starting from the center is a cluster of geometric shapes floating on a tan and gold frame. At either end are camel colored end caps with angular zigzag castle lines flanked with an elongated brown cross motif decorated with tiny golden geometric shapes. The backdrop composed of brick red horiztontal bands and superimposed stripes cultivate an esoteric juxtaposition among the geometric design. The striking play of pattern and earth-tone colors imbues this Finnish Impi Sotavalta rug with immense visual interest and graphic appeal. We like to call this one: Suomen Syysmaisema Maan Savyja meaning Finnish Autumn Landscape Shades of Earth.
- Rendered in variegated shades of brick red, terra cotta, baked clay, burnt orange, camel, brown, gold, saffron, goldenrod, tan, beige, coffee, and a hint of cerulean blue with other accent colors.
