51178 Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug, 03'06 x 05'00.

This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a cross-like centre medallion in an abrashed scarlet red field. Gray spandrels filled with rosettes, animals and symbolic Anatolian motifs outlined with a stepped edge are found in each corner. A simple zigzag saw-tooth border frames the medallion and spandrels. Two rectangular bands are found on either end and separated by a beige meander guard border separating and adding another frame around the medallion. The vintage Oushak rug is enclosed with a wide warm brown border filled with alternating motifs and flanked by subsidiary outer guard bands and an outer saw-tooth guard border.
