This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak gallery rug features three hexagonal medallions patterned with leafy tendrils floating in a sea of red abrash. The field is dotted with complementary leafy designs and framed with an inner rosette guard border. It is framed with a main peacock border alternating with tree of life motifs symbolizing immortality. A rectilinear outer guard band composed of a simple chevron design adds visual interest.
