The architectural elements of naturalistic forms combined with Arts & Crafts style, this hand knotted wool antique Turkish Oushak palace gallery rug astounds with its beauty and draws inspiration from William Morris. It features a botanical pattern composed of blooming palmettes, stylized florals, leafy tendrils, angular vinery, and cloudbands spread across the abrashed red field. Designed to impress, the symmetrical design unfolds lavish details leads the eye on a journey throughout the garden-like environment. The overall composition is distinctly reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts movement carpet designs of late 19th and early 20th century, England. The Arts & Crafts movement celebrated craftsmanship and simple, informal folk styles of decoration. Leading designers of the movement, such as William Morris and C.F.A.
