This hand-knotted wool vintage Oushak rug features three large-scale stylized flower bouquets rendered in variegated shades of red, saffron, light gray and ecru on a beige field. It is enclosed with a meandering rosette border on a dark onyx and black coffee colored background. Blossoming flowers are symbols of youth and beauty, and in this cheerful design they are infused with an element of personality of the weaver. This small hallway runner design is uncommon in that it is signed and dated 1970 by the weaver. Whether mod or farmhouse style, this Oushak accent rug is suitable for a variety of modern or traditional interiors.
